Earlier we visited the Capas National Shrine, a memorial for the Filipino and Americans that died in the death march of WWII. They had the numbers of the soldiers that reached Capas, Filipinos and Americans, and those that died in the attempt. The obelisk was absolutely massive, and so was the courtyard, surrounded with all the names. Dad, it was way cool, especially knowing a little bit of the history of what happened here. It was amazing. One picture is me and Elder Gumiran packed on a trike. One is the Blanco children, the lady on the right next to me is their awesome convert grandmother. We are getting the missionaries in Batangas to them, and we received news that they are attending church with their mother, which made me jump for joy. I'll be able to rest a little easier when they are either back here or their dad gets baptized. More in the letter.
