Tomorrow we´re going to the temple!! Yeehaw! I´m super grateful that we have a temple in our mission. Poor Puerto Rico....
LeiBy was baptized. I´m 99% sure. That´s what I heard at least. So that´s great.
Wander was baptized here. After a crazy day of mishaps, he was baptized yesterday. Yes,
Sunday. So he hasn't been confirmed yet.
Zone conference was great. President talked a lot about the Book of Mormon and its role in conversion. And I happen to love the Book of Mormon. So, we took the counsel to heart and have been focusing a lot on getting our investigators and less-actives reading the Book of Mormon. Reading with them is so great for a million reasons. It´s non-threatening for them, we can explain as we go, and you don´t have to do the awkward: ¨So you´re not coming to church, huh?¨ You just say, ¨I love the Book of Mormon, can we read a chapter with you?¨
We have a new investigator Rosa who is super great. She´s 15 and came the last two weeks. She even read the entire folleto (
pamphlet)!
The less active family didn´t come to church, sniff sniff. But there´s always
next Sunday.
Charlie, way to go! My own spelling has definitely gone down after Spanish. Spanish is always just how it sounds. English....not so much.
Dad, thanks for all the newsy news. I was telling the other Hnas about Jimmer the other week. We all appreciated the update. :)
I can´t wait to see Rachel´s pictures! Speaking of Rachel, my hair is finally long enough to put in a tubi. I did it for the first time last night, and this morning my hair is still perfectly straight and soft. I was pretty amazed because i didn´t think it would really work with soft hair. Ok, now i feel really vain using a whole paragraph to talk about my hair. But while i´m on the subject...I had a happy vision the other day of cutting it all off, but when I ran it past my companion she threw a fit and said absolutely not. And a woman the other day told me that I better not cut my hair ever again or she´d give me a galleta. (cookie, or slap. I don´t think she was talking about cookies.)
I really love this area. It´s nice to settle into it and start to think of it as home.
Also I love the scriptures. I just love learning more and more and more and it all ties together and makes so much sense. I have a very logical testimony that this gospel makes perfect sense. Don't worry, I also have a spiritual testimony, but you´ll have to hear it another day.
