My Crazy Adventures in the Moutainous DR Wilderness!

First things first.
The work:

Rosa is still doing good. She´s in 2 Nefi 7. But.... she had a headache or something yesterday and didn't come to church.

Yenni is awesome and wonderful and wants to get baptized against her parent's catholic wishes. She's 20 so she technically can, but we're working (or trying to) with her parents to see if we can change their hearts a bit. She came to church last week. But..... she didn't come to church yesterday. Don't know why.

Cool investigator family that promised promised promised us they'd come. But.......they didn't.

A bunch of other great people who we had a lot of hope for. But.......none of them came to church.

So who did come to church? Joanna, who is the 9 year old sister of a member. Good for her! She's doing great and should get baptized in May.

And now to today. We went to Padre las Casas (the area of our district leader) for an activity. It's a bit over an hour bus ride from our area and gorgeous. Way out in the mountains where it actually gets cool. We went to a mountain, but there was a tiny miscommunication on how long the drive there was. We thought it was 15 minutes. It wasn't. It was a lot lot longer than that. And then we were in this mountain wilderness that had the audacity to call itself a finca. We gathered oranges, green bananas (which are what is in the picture of the food, boiled. Loren, do they do that in the Phillipines? boil green bananas?), guandules (pigeon peas), avacadoes, and other stuff. And we got to hike around a little bit, so I was right at home.

Question, and the first one to email me the response gets a prize: ¨Why is Jerusalem sacred to the religion Islam?¨ It's a legit question, I can't remember the answer, and I really miss google at moments like that.

Back to the work. Azua really wants to become a stake. We'd like to help it. So, we need to find more priesthood. We started praying a lot to find some, and started dedicating 5 o' clock every day to finding or teaching priesthood or complete families. We found a potential, so we'll see where it goes. But I'm coming to find that where you put your focus, that's what starts happening. So hopefully we'll start harvesting soon.

Transfers are next week. I know I've said this and been wrong before, but it's a pretty sure bet I'll stay right here.

Enjoy the last of the snow! And Goblin Valley!
I love you all super super super much!
Love, Sister Sarah (as Grandpa Peck always called me)
