Happy Chinese New Year!

Welcome to the Year of the Dog everyone!!! SanTai GinHong! (Hope you are all healthy. It's traditional that you say things like that to people to wish everyone luck and health for the new year.)

So, this week... Lots of new changes.
We had transfer calls!!! It was kind of a crazy one since no new people are really coming in this transfer. So we weren't sure what would happen. But it turns out that Sister Haghsheno is going to Tin Sui Wai and Sister Webb is going to Kowloon City. Yup. We were all pretty sad at the news. It'll be a good change, but we were not as thrilled about this one. So I'll be companions with Sister Branch, a sister from England that was in Sister Webb's group. I'm excited, but nervous for a new change. I'll finally be senior companion, leading Castle Peak Bay. And Sister Ramboz from my group will be in Butterfly with Sister Perez!! I'm pretty excited about that. Sad that Sister Webb is leaving though. We've gotten really close over the last 6 months. Same with Sister Haghsheno.

Tony didn't get the priesthood, but he will next time. He had his interview yesterday though. And we performed the EFY medley in Sacrament meeting. (All the missionaries.)
In other news this week, we had lots and lots of time this week since everyone was busy celebrating Chinese New Year. All the stores were shut down and we found ourselves with a lot more time than we wanted... And the funny thing is, finding is iffy cause no one is out on the streets, calls are also out since they're busy celebrating. So... hm... Weekly Planning!! We actually had Zone Conference on Friday too, so that was a life saver.

We also had a zone find earlier this week and we went to Tsing Yi. I was with Sister Hodson for the find and we went to their park. It was actually really cool cause we had a goal to get 5 numbers and teach them something small/get to know them. And we got 5 numbers last minute!!!! Heavenly Father totally knows our goals and desires. We got two Filipino numbers, cause they're always so nice, and three normal numbers. But I finally got to check another item off my bucket list!! While we were getting one of the numbers, a random lady walked up behind the woman we were talking to and told her we were a cult and not to listen to us. Right to our faces. We probably looked pretty shocked. In all my time here, I've never had someone try to anti them with us right there. It's happened behind my back, and I've been told I was a cult, but that was a new one. So that was pretty intense. But the lady was really nice and gave us her number anyway. It was such a good find.Heavenly Father knows our efforts.

We also had a cool training in zone conference about Chinese history and bible history! A lot of people think our church/religion is only Western, but we looked at the history back to the tower of Babel and they totally have similarities!! It was so cool. And they get their characters from pictures. And little did we know that the story of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, even sacrifice was hidden in the characters!! I can't really explain it over email, but it was so so cool. They really are more related than we thought...
We visited some members yesterday, they're three sisters who live together and they're so fun!! Reminds me of my sisters. ;)

Also, we got to go to a Butterfly member's house last night to try some New Year foods and stuff. It was super fun. To be honest, it got a little crazy with so many missionaries and it honestly probably was the weirdest Cheng out I've been to yet... But it was good. That's what those last pictures are of.

That's most of the news this week. It's been a good one. Interested to see what this week brings!! I know Heavenly Father does everything for a reason, so I'm excited for what's in store! I love you all so very much!!
