Hello Everyone!!!
Hope it's been a great week!
My week was actually not that exciting, don't get your hopes up, but it was very good.
Thanks for reminding me that I'm so close and yet so far from the Olympics this year. I saw a commercial come on the other day and just about cried. Sister Haghsheno wasn't really all that sympathetic, but we'll see how she feels when the world cup comes on bwahaha. So yeah. That's just fantastic.
We did a lot of the normal stuff this week (surprise!) like district meeting and English class finding, we ended up finishing weekly planning halfway through the week, etc. Some of the fun things this week though was that we had a really crazy day on Friday, we were so booked. We had five lessons planned, which is probably my personal record in one day, it just doesn't happen usually.
We had a morning chengout with Yeung Jm, an LA. We went to a vegetarian Yam Chah place and it was so good. What wasn't so great was that there was SO much food, and Sister Haghsheno got full really fast and didn't feel that great, so I had to Sister up and eat a LOT of food. She's one of the people that you eat ALL the food, or they think you don't like it. So eat it we did.
Man we felt so sick afterwards, but it was good. Also, she's been reading the scriptures and she likes it!!! Yay!!! So that was a highlight. She really is so so sweet and loves missionaries. So we'll see what happens. So that's the picture there too of the food. It was really good food too.

After that we went to the Library to meet with a potential, Caillou, but he fonged. He told us later he fell asleep. Sad. Then we went to meet with an LA, Cherry, but she fonged too. Then we went to the church and taught Tony, and he's amazing, as usual. He asked about tithing and started the Book of Mormon again for the third time. Yup. He's getting the priesthood next week! And we got McDonalds for dinner, good ol' McDonalds, had English class where they absolutely LOVED playing Simon Says. And we taught Fei Fei and Bobby Plan of Salvation with a member, Lai Jm, who is from Taiwan, which was perfect because Fei Fei also knows Mandarin. They got along great.
In other news, A-Fung blocked the elders. So he's dropped for now. I guess he was more interested in the sisters than the gospel. Sigh. Maybe later.
We also had a good day Saturday, where we had absolutely nothing planned. So we did calls and finding and we walked all the way to our pier! We passed a cool fish market where the crabs are GINORMOUS. Not even lying, those things are huge. Also the fish and lobsters. But the pier was absolutely gorgeous.
Last exciting thing was the new baptismal goal for this year. Last years goal was 242 and we got 192. Soooo, this year, the goal is.... 400!!! Don't ask me how that happened, I don't really know... but it's actually really cool, cause we're all going for it. We've been promised that if we have the faith for it, we can get it. So we'll give it our all and let Heavenly Father handle the rest!
Overall, it wasn't a super eventful week, but at the same time, it was really good and I learned a lot about just loving the work, no matter what we were doing. It's taking a long process, but I'm slowly learning more and more each day. The church is so true! It's so sad to see people leave it for things they think are more important, but it's also great to see them start to come back and partake of all the blessings! I love you all! Keep doing what you're doing, stay faithful and true to what you know. Love you all!!
Sister Peck
