Lindsay: What's the significance of this place? Oh right, it's where I opened my mission call in October...and now I'm sharing it, 9 days before I leave 😂 For any who haven't heard, surprise! I've been called to serve in the Baltimore, Maryland mission!!! I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to learn, teach, and serve in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ.
For any interested my farewell is next Sunday (the 17th) at 10:30 at the South Paradise church, 155 E 9400 S Paradise.
Last October (2018), while attending classes at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, Lindsay received her mission call. Lindsay was one of the first group of missionaries to receive their calls electronically. Because it was sent to her phone, Lindsay received it directly, without it coming to our home mailbox. This made it very easy for Lindsay to decide to find a secluded place and open her call all by herself. She had always hoped to do this, and it worked out perfectly for her. She took some time to read her mission call, pray about it, and know that this was where she was called to serve. This experience helped her during the long 4 months of waiting before she was to report to the MTC in Provo.
