A Farewell Party!

Maddy has been packing all week.  We all have been cleaning and cooking.  Today was a great time to get together and celebrate Maddy's mission and wish her well!  She spoke in Sacrament meeting then we met at our home to visit and eat.
Family came from minutes to hours away to help us celebrate and to wish Maddy well.
Maddy:  Well, I'm down to the last couple days. It was so great to have the family and friends together today. It wore me out pretty thoroughly though. Who knew a party would be so exhausting?

I was so happy to see friends before I go! I'll miss them all.

Just being able to spend time with family and taking time to say goodbye to everyone was so fun, but it left me feeling a little sad. The fact that I won't see all the people that I love so much for eighteen months is hard for me. But their support and love makes things a little  better.

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to go to Hong Kong. I can't help but feel really nervous, but I know that it will be such an amazing experience.
Maddy will be set apart on Tuesday and she reports to the Provo MTC on Wednesday, March 1st.  It's all coming fast now!
