VeggieTales. . .VeggieTales. . .!

Leih Hou!
Hello Family! It's been another week!

So, this week was interesting for sure. Don't know why, but it was just weird for me. So lets see, Sister Wardle left on Tuesday at 3 in the morning. So naturally we partied a little in our room with some of the mandarin district. Super fun! But then we didn't go to sleep til about 2. Whoops. Bad idea. So, y'all know how when I get tired, things start getting a little interesting? Yeah, Sister Burtenwshaw and I laughed for a straight hour. I felt bad for Sister Wardle cause she didn't get much sleep at all... But we all had fun. Til we had to wake up. Worst idea ever. So, Sister Pressley left our room to go with the mandarin district. She went with one of the trio sisters. So our room is empty except us again. Woohoo.

I got a package from the Masons on Tuesday as well and wanted to thank them!!! Aunt Shamayne it was so thoughtful and we loved the cookies!! And the soap smells so good!!!

Thanks for thinking of me! And Abby, thanks for the note! I love getting letters! I saw Uncle Jack quite a bit this week compared to how much I usually run into him! Tender mercies!! It's so funny cause whenever I get a note or when I got the package, or when I ran into him in the cafeteria, my companions call him Uncle Jack too. It's awesome.

I also got a surprise package from Hermana(Rachel) Erickson!!!! It was such a sweet surprise and I think my teachers were just about as excited as I was when I opened it up and saw all the food... I shared (a little) and the cookies were sooo good! Thanks so much! You are an angel! And there was a cute panda puzzle in it, so I can at least see that panda!! Thanks for being so thoughtful! ;) And my companions thank you too, haha!

And I got another surprise package from the Kyoshi warriors and Sokka! Thanks Chris and Kristen for all the glitter and pom poms! They did make me happy, though they surprised me when I opened the package and exploded glitter all over me. It was quite the process trying to get everything out of the package. I got a picture ;) But thanks for the socks and my companions were super jealous of the chapstick! Yay for my collection! You guys are so sweet!!!

So, something else this week, guess what?! We got the pictures for our new Zone members coming in this Wednesday!!! And right at the top: Chase Anderson!!! He's in my zone!! We've got quite a few mandarin Elders coming in, I think they've only got one companionship of sisters. And we've got four Cantos!!! Three Sisters and an Elder! Super excited for that! So best of luck today and tomorrow Chase, and I'll probably see you Wednesday! I'm really glad you're coming to our zone, cause honestly, we're definitely the best. Not exaggerating. We're the closest zone I've seen yet. ;) Hope you're excited! We aren't hosting, which is too bad. But now our floor won't be so empty! The old districts classroom won't be deserted anymore!

Saturday was a hard day for me, I'll be honest. After TRC, I was so sick and tired of feeling inadequate and not being able to understand anything anyone said. It was a rough day. We were all tired and I was done. It was probably the hardest day yet. Worry not though, I pushed through and yesterday was much better. I love Sundays because they're so uplifting and we get to rest from teaching. Best ever. And fasting was awesome. Our devo was President and Sister Martino, The MTC president, talking about their conversion stories and their love story! So cute!!!

But it was cold and yes, it snowed here too. Utah. Oh well. All the new internationals were so happy and we overheard some of them saying they had prayed for snow. So yes, it's their fault. But at least they got their prayers answered and saw snow. Brr. So now I'm praying for sunshine. Maybe it will work for me too.

Some highlights of the week, last night Sister Stafford and I thought of as many VeggieTales songs as we could remember and had so much fun singing them! (Hence the title) Elder Vowels also knows a lot of them, which makes me so happy! And then we may or may not have gone into just a tiiiiny bit of Hamilton. Whoops. But that made me so happy too. She can rap it really really good. And believe it or not, Sister Ramboz can rap like no one I've ever seen. Mind blown. We also had a lot of fun quoting Avatar quite a bit earlier this week. I'm so glad my companions love it as much as I do!

Random fact, our branch president, President Newell was the youngest ambassador the United States has ever called. He was an ambassador to Sweden. How cool is that!! No wonder he's so amazing. We love him and our whole presidency so much!! They are amazing!

And, small pet peeve this week, I came here relieved to get away from awkward flirting. Psyche! Still happens! Just in a worse, missionary style version. Bleh. But it's ok. I'll repent from judging people and try to keep away from the awkwardness. Sigh.

Let's see... Pictures... Us partying with Sister Wardle,

someone put googly eyes on the women's sign on the bathroom,

I got the shirt I ordered,

the packages from everyone! So fun!!  And pictures with my camera.

And a snowman and our elders with the mandarin elders.

So, this week has been a bit hard, but I'm still so grateful for the time I've had here so far. It's been so cool and I feel like I've never been closer to the Savior in my entire life. So cool. I see miracles every day. I don't know how this gospel couldn't be true. It's been so life changing and incredible and every day brings new miracles. I love you all so much and am sooooo grateful for your thoughts and prayers. You have no idea how big of a difference they make. I know with all my heart that Heavenly Father is looking out for me and all of you. I love this gospel and I love my Heavenly Father!! Trust in Him. It's amazing what miracles you'll see.
Have an amazing week!!! Love you all!

  1. So thrilled with this letter. We are so excited that Chase will be in the same zone! He also went to school with Sis. Ramboz! It helps a little with the nerves to know there will be some familiar friendly faces! I am taking notes on the package ideas!!
