Also, grandma Swan! I got your letter!! Thank you thank you!! It was so sweet!
So, to sum up this week, here are some of the things that went on.
I had lunch with Joyce last week! Mom, you should have gotten the picture for that. We had Mexican food!!!!!!!!!!! So amazing. Basically, Asia, so rare to find a good Mexican place. Sigh. It was so fun to talk to her about family history, and to listen to her stories of Orlando, and Millie, and all those stories that you talk about mom! She's amazing! It was so so nice of her to do that for us! And she gave us cute little gift bags with some cute little things in them!
We celebrated Sister Hugo's birthday!! We were able to meet with a potential, Tiffany, who we've been trying to see for forever!! So amazing! And Yuen Jimuih was so so sweet and took us to Fairwood's, a restaurant with Vilian and Jan Jan. They're so so amazing! And then we actually bumped into her other daughter that we had no idea existed!!! WHAT? She's in high school. So now we know of five kids.
Vilian was so excited to hear that I have a sister that does ballet! She's also in ballet with her older sister Soanna and LOVES it. Yesterday we finally figured out where Yuen Jimuih lives, so we went there and it broke my heart. They're apartment is depressingly tiny and has a tiny pathway from the door to the corner where all the beds for her and the four kids sleep, and the tiny indent of a kitchen and tiny bathroom. All of it was so hard. She gave us both apples as we left and I've never felt so guilty for taking an apple before. She's so amazing and I don't know how we can possibly help her. I've never felt so helpless. So that was so so hard. She's got such a hard life and it makes me feel so guilty for coming from a huge house and never having to worry about things like food and school. So hard.
But we also had dinner with Jenny!! She's amazing. She opened up about her past a bit and I could really feel Heavenly Father's love for her. And she gave us cookies and ice cream!!!!!!!! And tons of juice and snacks! Along with the groceries from last week!! SO amazing!!! I love her to death!!!!
It's been a crazy roller coaster week, but also really good. I love you all so very much! thanks for all the prayers and thoughts! I really can feel them every day! Have an amazing week! All my love for all of you!
