So for this week, lots of things happened. First off, I love you all so much that I am currently sitting in a smoky gaming center so that I can email. You're so welcome.
First things first, we went to Ten Thousand Buddhas on Monday! It's a cool monastery in Sha Tin. It's got statues lining the stairs and a really cool temple on the top. It was pretty interesting and really beautiful. Before that we had gotten pizza and pasta at a really good restaurant with Sister Groberg and Sister Hagsheno. It was a really fun p-day.
After that, we did some lessons this week with Leung Hingdaih and Echo, Leung Hingdaih is a recent convert and we're trying to help him stay active. Echo is doing so well! She's just so golden in lessons and can feel the spirit so strong. But... we don't think she quite realizes we're trying to convert her yet... hm... Not sure how that happens.
Transfers happened and Elder Lutkin, one of the Butterfly Elders, is now training! And Sister Rees from my district is now in my Zone! So now I see her and Sis Burtenshaw every week. Also, Sister Webb is the new STL! And she's doing great! So on Friday I went on exchanges with Sister Hagsheno while she and Sister Groberg went to Kowloon for a meeting. It was super fun! We went to the pier and did some finding. Then when she got back we did a language study with a member. Our members are super awesome and very willing to help us out.
Sara and Nico got baptized!!! On Saturday President Lam and Sister Lam came, and Sister Martin came with her parents (she finished her mission this week and her parents picked her up) It went so well, Elder Lutkin didn't drop either of them like he thought he would, and it went off without a hitch! Emily Lock gave a talk, and Sister Webb and I shared our testimonies. It was really good! So good to see them finally baptized.
Then we had Stake conference yesterday and it was really good! Our friends from our ward, Kelly and Jenny gave talks and they were awesome. They spoke about missionary work because they're both leaving on their missions in December, both going to the Hawaii visitors center. So cool! Sara didn't come because of Nico's tutoring, so we'll work on that. We had dinner with the Au Family last night, and they made incredible Chinese food because they invited Sister Martin and her parents as well. It was a blast. But really weird to hear people talking fluent English who were not missionaries.
It's been an incredible week with Sara and Nico's baptism. It's been such a blessing to see the gospel work wonders in people's lives. I know it really can bring these people happiness, which not a lot of them have unfortunately. A lot of these people go their whole lives with no purpose and no enthusiasm for life. I'm so grateful Heavenly Father has a perfect plan for each one of these people. It's called the plan of Happiness for a reason. Well, that's all for me, I love you all so much!!! Till next week!
