Leih hou daih ga!
Wow, what a week. They seem to be flying by a lot faster now... Sorry my emails aren't very long, I always wish I had more time to write, but time flies when you're having fun!
Thanks for the Happy Birthday wishes!!! I don't know if the package came yet, I'll see when I go to the office later today. I guess you'll see in next week's pictures! But I'm pretty sure it's there. Thank you thank you thank you! Thanks for all thinking about me and sending me a package! It means so much to me.
Oh, and also, I wanted to clarify that probably shocking and maybe slightly terrifying picture in the last letter. Yes, that is chicken feet. Yeah. Scared me too. Chris, Loren, Sarah, I don't know if you ever had to eat these, if you did, I'm sorry to bring back some trauma. But no, I didn't eat those, I snuck a picture of them in the store.
Anyway, back to life, last Monday we went to Kowloon Tong and made cinnamon rolls!!! I love cinnamon rolls! And now we have tons! We made them with Elder Roskelley, our senior missionary that works in the office with all the accounting and stuff. It was a blast! Then we found a cool 3D printing place. So, the picture is of Sister Groberg in front of a 3D printed Hong Kong harbor. It's so accurate. Crazy what they can do these days! Also, we looked into a room that had these crazy looking robots, they even had screens that had eyes. Ok, it's hard to explain. But it was cool and Landon would have died of happiness. There.
And we played tennis with an LA, and the elder's investigator and I got some really bad pictures! Yay! Thank goodness for my background with learning at least a little tennis.
Also, I finally got a picture of our church building mom! I'll try to get more pictures of the area and what it looks like for you.
And we played basketball with Sara and Nico and these random guys that always play at night. It's supposed to be a good finding activity, but... well... it didn't really work. It's really hard to play basketball when everyone around you is guys,(except Sara) and you aren't really allowed to touch them. So yeah. That's how that went. We left early and got spaghetti while Sister Webb practiced the piano for MLC on Thursday. It was super yummy and pretty fancy. You can tell cause it has fancy stuff on top. Ok, so it was fancy in missionary standards anyway.
And then I got more pictures of the pier cause it's so pretty!
So, some fun things this week, we were walking out of our apartment Friday night and in front of our building was a group of white people! (it surprised me) And it was Sister Hansen, a sister who went home 4 months ago! She was showing her family around and they came to church on Sunday!
And speaking of Sunday, it was not really the day of rest I thought it should be... Sacrament meeting was good, but the Mandarin elder's investigator kept talking to me pretty loudly about whether or not I missed my parents and about how America was better than Hong Kong. But she's super sweet. Sister Webb was entertaining Nico and then, as if it couldn't get any more distracting, a man (the slightly mentally off one) squeezed onto the bench behind Sister Webb and kept trying to talk to her. Wow, I've never been in a longer Sacrament meeting in my life. So yeah, after church he followed us around the church for about an hour, then kept following us to the light rail stop and onto the light rail train. Finally the elders got him off at one of the stops. Bless him. Good think Heavenly Father has a plan for all these people that have mental disabilities, cause there are an unbelievable amount of them in Hong Kong.
But anyway, Life is great! It's been a good week and I'm looking forward to another great week. I love you all so so much and hope you all have an amazing week! Keep up the good work and the faith. This church is so true.
Love, Sister Peck
Sorry not many pictures this week. I'll do better next week ;)
