There Can Be Miracles

Thank you all for the prayers, I have felt very sustained this week and have probably had one of the most spiritually powerful weeks of my life.
First of all, Spanish. The Holy Ghost and a little fake it til you make it go a long way. Because I'm leading out this area I had to do a lot of talking and I have felt SO BLESSED. Things just come out! Spanish finally feels pretty comfortable and natural! And we have taught SO MANY LESSONS. I had always heard of missionaries/areas where schedules are full of lessons all day but I kind of thought they were a myth. Turns out it is real sometimes! Wowzers.

Ok I'll start at the top.

Last Monday we went as a district to inner harbor, to the HUGE Barnes and Noble in a renovated power plant, the mall, this park that overlooks the whole harbor, and this crazy candy store a little like Willy Wonka's factory. Our district got really split up so it was good to go.
Then we went to a ward members that night so Hna W. could say goodbye. Goodbyes are hard!
Tuesday after district council we went to Mary to say goodbye. We had a really powerful lesson about finding comfort in the Book of Mormon. Then we went to Jaquelin's and had a lesson on temples with her (she's in the Polaroid picture with us three). They made us an El Salvadoranian dish called pan con pollo, it was SOOO good.
That night we went to the branch new years party but if it says it starts at ... it starts at 10. So we had the photo booth to ourselves ðŸ˜‚ And a family that aren't members came!! So great.
Wednesday. Saying goodbye to Hermana Whitehead was so hard, but happened so quick that I've just missed her all week.

Hermana Crofts came and she's AWESOME! From Park city, Utah, has one little brother, hit the field the same time as me (but was in the MTC longer).
This is already huge so I won't go into details but we hit the ground running. We had so many doors open that have never opened here before! We've taught a ton of the people we're teaching in 5 days, some of them multiple times. It's like Hermana W and I set a lot of groundwork and now we're ready to harvest. So blessed!
Ok miracles! We went to someone that we're teachings house but she was upstairs, so they had us wait at the table for her. She never came lol but a couple who was watching tv slowly turned off the tv, came over and say by us, and literally ASKED to be taught! Right then and there! They were soaking up the restoration and the Book of Mormon unlike anyone I've ever seen! And Friday we had a second lesson,  and it was the same. They are so elect!!
Anyway all the in between was awesome too. Great church, great food, great personal and work progress.
I'm actually sick today so I have no idea how I wrote this much but I'm going to try to sleep now haha. I love you all so much. Keep me updated on how you like Come Follow Me!
Love, Hna. Peck
