Spiritual Promptings, Exchanges, and Dog Ladies Pt 1

Hi Family!!!

Wow, this week has flown!! I'm so glad you saw that video! I hoped you would!! It was such a fun and amazing experience to see Elder Cook and listen to him speak. I wish he could have stayed longer, but they kept it right on time. Sigh. But such an amazing experience.

Also mom, I finally saw Joyce!!! (A cousin serving in the Asia Area with her husband.)  She is so nice! We're currently trying to plan a lunch or dinner together which should be so fun!! I didn't get a picture though! She disappeared right after the mission conference!

So, this week, So much happened! I can't even think of everything! But some of the high points: We had some amazing spiritual promptings this week as we were out finding and we met some amazing people! We met this amazing woman named Ginelle who wasn't really interested, but we were guided to her, so whatever happens now is up to the Lord. But it was amazing to see His hand in everything we do! We also bumped into a lady last night at the pier named Jackie, who was walking two dogs. So apparently she is VERY against dog meat trading and has like twenty dogs. So all she does all day is taking care of dogs and feeding stray dogs. So yes, we finally found the crazy dog lady. I'm so jealous of her life. But anyway, she is so sweet and apparently has been to church before and already has a Book of Mormon. Perfect!! But she was hesitant to meet with us again, so we'll see where that goes.... in Part 2! Coming soon! (We hope) I already just love her so much! It's amazing to feel God's love for them when talking to them. It's very strange to feel so much love for people when you only talk to them for approximately 2 seconds (if you're lucky). But cool.

In other news, we had exchanges this week with the Causeway Bay Sisters! I went to Causeway Bay with Sister Thomson and Sister Magelby went to West Point with Sister Hugo. It was so much fun! I love Sister Thomson so much! And she was very kind to put up with me as well. ;) It was so cool to do exchanges for the first time! Aaaaand, we have another one this week! Since Sister Hugo is a Sister Training Leader, I get to do two more exchanges I believe. So that should also be in Part 2!

I ate some cool food this week!!! So, we went with Vicky, a former who is so amazing, but doesn't like to come to church. Sigh. But she's so nice!! We had some really good meatloaf patty stuff, and some really good corn, egg soup that I didn't figure out till later had.... yeah, fish stomachs. They're transparent and don't have much taste, but has a lot of collagen which they think is so good for you! So yeah.

Also, the Chyun gatihng (family) chenged us out to a fairly famous restaurant that had such good food! I tried small oysters in soup, sweet and sour fish, and yes, shrimp for the first time.

Chris, you never knew this, but that time you threw that frozen shrimp at me? Yeah, totally scarred. So I finally overcame my childhood trauma and tried it. It was really good! Also, I tried the dragon fruit I bought. So good!!

I think I've been so blessed with food cause I actually have been able to eat as much as they insist we eat. And I've loved everything I've tried! Miracle!!!

For pictures: Lots of food, I forgot to mention those little... things. That one with the seeds on top is like a rice thing with sugar, peanut stuff in the middle. Super good.

And the little rolled things in the bowl are super good, they're like flat boiled rice or something rolled up into rolls and have really good sauce and a little peanut butter on top. So good!

Also, we had a day of Black Rain! Kind of cool. We don't have those very often I guess. When it's classified as black, we have to get home and stay indoors until it goes back down to red or amber. So that was cool. It's just because it's so heavy and the busses and MTR shut down. It was pretty cool. I'll send a video too.

Also, I got a office chair! I've been using a wooden kitchen chair. So sweet!

Anyway, love you all and hope you have an amazing week! I am so grateful for Heavenly Father and for how much he watches out for all of us. Love you guys!! Have so much fun!
