Hey!
Last P-day we went to that Pixar exhibit which was pretty fun! It wasn't too much, just pictures and sculptures and stuff, I feel like dad would have enjoyed it. But it was pretty cool. It was also pretty cold outside that day. It was raining a bit, which made it like 20 degrees colder I felt like.
Other than that it was a pretty normal week! We did some finding and I caught a bit of a cold that's been going around. Oops. Yes mom, I was drinking lots of Emergen-C. Sigh. So that was fun. I got to check 'wear a medical mask around in public' off my bucket list. whoop whoop! So that was fun. Trying to talk in Cantonese while your voice refuses to stay on one pitch is not as fun. In fact it's next to impossible because of the tones... Yup.
We also got to visit a less active this week and she gave us really good stuffed peppers with fish. She's super nice, so we'll see if we can get her back to church! We've been trying to really get to work with our LAs cause our ward has more LAs than active members, and it's been an adventure trying to track them down. I think that's one of the biggest challenges of my mission. Keeping members active is a huge task cause everyone is so so busy. But it's a good challenge. :) We'll get em.
We also got chenged by a member to the new McCafe Strawberry White Chocolate drink. It was super super good. So that was fun.
So most of this week was just finding, calls, visiting LAs and members. We had a breakfast Yam Chah with the Lam family which was super super good. They got all the really good food, but I forgot to get a picture of it. oops. Sister Haghsheno got a picture with their family. I'll try to send it. The members really are so so nice. And then we got to meet up with Chan Jimuih to watch Candy and Henry's dance performance. They did so so good! They are amazing dancers! And all the rest of those kids did so good. I really love the traditional Chinese style dances.
And then Sunday was super super good, a recent RM and President and Sister Lam talked in sacrament meeting. It was super fun to hear them all speak. And our Sunday school class was really good on the Law of Chastity. Only Tet Tet came and A Fung said he was too tired. Sigh. But it was good. And relief society was great, Jung Jimuih gave a great lesson on sharing our light with others. We also went over to Jung Jm's house earlier this week to help her kids with their homework. They're mom is from Hong Kong and their dad is from America, so they speak Cantonese and pretty good English. And man, I took one look at Grant's homework and just about had a panic attack for college. Just saying, if I can't do middle school level math, I'm dead. So that was fun.
Sunday night we had a super fun chengout with the Lai family! The Mandarin elders and Castle Peak Bay elders came too. Lai Jimuih makes amazing food. There was curry and soup and noodles and rice and it was awesome. And we shared a fun message with them where Sister Haghsheno scared them so bad by smashing a can on her finger for the object lesson. Long story. But it works in the object lesson, yes her finger is completely fine, that's part of the lesson but we just about gave them a heart attack. So funny.

And theeeeen.... we were leaving and just about got in the elevator when one of the elders threw up in the hallway. Yes this was last night. So we had to go back and tell them and the security had to come clean it up. whoops. So that was terribly funny. And we ended up getting a taxi back. hahaha, yeah. So we figured out it was probably food poisoning from them cooking chicken the night before.

Wow, what a week. Yup, so it was really good. But it was really fun to see another week full of fun and meaningful things go by. Hong Kong is such a good place to be. It was a good testimony builder week. I feel like I learn so much each and every week! And the temperature's rising too, so it looks like spring is coming already. So many tender mercies. Love you guys so much!! Hope all goes well this week!!!
