Tony is Baptized!

Wow, a lot happened this week it sounds like! Glad everyone had a good time!

Wow, what a crazy week and no time to write about it. I'll do my best to fit everything.
Soooo, first off, we went to Tai O last p-day, I already wrote about that, and we had exchanges on Tuesday! I went with Sister Rees in Tsing Yi! Honestly we had a blast. I love Sister Rees.

We did some finding, but it got super cold, so we were at the pier for only a bit, but we talked to this really nice lady from France! It amazes me how intercultural Hong Kong really is and how few people learn Cantonese, and yet stay here for years and years. It's incredible. I love all the people we meet here. And I got to help teach her investigator Sophia. She's amazing and loves the Book of Mormon. She's so golden, but it's taken her a long time to get here. They're helping her to stop smoking too. When we were leaving I told her I hoped to see her again and I loved meeting her and she said she hoped so too because she really liked me already. Aaaaaawwwww!! So that was awesome. And Sister Rees also made some really good dumplings and salad with Thousand Island Dressing and then also BLT wraps, so no complaints. It was a great exchange.

When I got home we actually went of splits again since Sister Webb has been pretty sick. So Sis. Hagsheno and Sis. Perez went and taught Tony, English Class, and Fei Fei and Bobby. And I stayed home with Sister Webb. It was actually a really nice evening, I just did records and calls while she slept and we had a really good conversation when she woke up. She's been such a tender mercy to me on my mission.
I also got to teach Karen Wong and Ashley (from Butterfly ward) because Sis. Webb was still sick. So that was a great blast from the past moment. Wong Jimuih gave us Siu mai and Cha siu buns, and some pork floss, sticky rice things. All very good. I love their family!!! We taught about family history and Ashley (and her little sister, Candice) both had very good thoughts. Ashley will turn 8 and get baptized this March!!!
We also met with a potential this week Ma siu je(Miss Ma) and she was actually pretty interested! She was more interested in our teaching English, but she listened intently to our message about prayer and asked good questions!! So hopefully we can see her again!

Yesterday we had Tony's Baptism!!!!!! YAY!!!! He was so so ready. He was even there earlier than planned. And the ward welcomed him so warmly. They were a little unsure at first when they would go up to him and realize that he can't really see them, but then he'd say something funny and they'd all laugh. It was so great. And Bishop Wu gave permission for him to be confirmed in Sacrament meeting too since he can't come next week. Tony said afterward that it was such a happy feeling and that he just felt really good. wow, he's so great. And he's just about to start reading the Book of Mormon for the third time!!! The Lord really does prepare people.
Later that night we went to Bishop and Sister Wu's house with the Elders and Elder Engel, the Mandarin missionary. It's interesting cause he actually lives in Butterfly area now, but they won't change wards until he's released. So we rode the long bus ride to where they live and everyone else thought we were going to Mainland since I was the only one who had been there before. They made amazing food! It was super fun and their family is so nice.
So that was my week. Whew!! So much happened. But I really like the busy weeks. And it's been full of tender mercies and miracles too, which I'm so grateful for. The Lord really does work in mysterious ways and I'm so grateful to be a part of all of it. Love you all, hope it's another great week!!
Love, Sister Peck
