Hey everybody!
I'm trying to get the motivation to write, but there's a lot that happened this week and it's a bit intimidating to write it all. Oh well.
To start at the top, last p-day, we went in search of the rumored In & Out Burger, then found out it didn't exist, so went to cheesecake factory instead. Sis. Branch and I shared the stuffed chicken tortillas and an Oreo milkshake. It was so good! I miss Mexican food.
Then later that day we helped a potential from Tuen Mun with English. (Since the Tuen Mun Elders don't have sisters, sometimes we end up helping them out)
On Tuesday, we had a stake primary activity and man there were so many kids!!! They were doing a kid Olypmics theme and it was pretty fun. Mostly we just ended up with the missionaries and some members having a water fight with the spray bottles.
On Wednesday, we had zone conference and got some more training on the smart phones. Man phones are so maahfaahn. There isn't a translation for that word and it frustrates me every time. Closest I can get is inconvenient. Or bothersome? Sigh. You wouldn't think so, but man it takes so much effort to pioneer the smart phones in a mission. In a few weeks we'll have to take our ginormous area books and basically put all that information online. We'll see how it goes. But it's also nice finding, so there's pros and cons.
Thursday we got to see Elder Gong!!! It was so amazing. He's a really spiritually powerful apostle (find me one who isn't) and even took some extra time to shake our hands and ask where we were from and how we were, and stare into our souls while doing so. The last bit was a bit intimidating, I'll admit, but we all appreciated the time he took for us. He talked about making lasting relationships with our companions and they talked about finding people and mission experiences. It was all so good.
We were also able to meet with an investigator, Kelvin, who might get baptized this year he said! He's really scared to commit, so we'll see what happens. And we met with a member, Athena for language study. She's so cute.

Saturday we had an elders quorum badminton and bowling activity, and man is my arm sore. They're so good at badminton. I've gotten a bit better too if I say so myself. We also saw Liuh sj and Mandy and they're doing so well!

Then Yesterday we had dinner with the Wong family and they were so much fun!
Basically that was our week. It flew by so fast, as I guess it does when you're visited by an apostle and have two ward activities, etc. But it was also a really good to take a second yesterday and try to enjoy Sunday. It's hard sometimes because you're so worried about investigators and all sorts of random things like children running around and Taro (a members son, I was sitting with their family) telling me all about Ninjago and dinasaurs. He's adorable. But anyways, I was able to take a short moment and think during the sacrament and just ponder a bit, and it was kind of a relief after such a busy week. I love the sacrament. And Liuh Sj and Mandy were there, and they got invited to a members house for dinner next week and really seemed to enjoy church. Blessings!!!
That was my week. It's been a good one. I love you all so much. Remember that all things are possible with God. I've been trying my best to remember that lately, and I've started to see a lot more miracles that I would've missed before. Sometimes I have to remember it's all in the little things. Line upon line.
You're all the best! Keep up the good work!
Love, Sister Peck
