Hey Everyone!
So this week didn't have too much going on, but we did have something kind of exciting... I finally saw my first panda in China!!!! Yup, that's right, I fulfilled my promise to Lydia and took a good video too. So that was a dream come true. We went to Ocean Park last p-day and it was a blast!! It was pretty hot, but there were hardly any people there, so we jumped on to all the rides, sometimes twice, and saw the seals, and sharks, jellyfish, and even the dolphin show! It was so so cool!!! So that was super fun.
The rest of the week was also super fantastic, we had zone conference and watched the 2016 missionary broadcast, which I hadn't seen all the way through yet, so that was fun. Also, drum roll.... we're getting smartphones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We've been using little Nokia phones for a very long time and sometimes it's hard cause everyone here uses WhatsApp instead of texting. So we're all very very excited for that. That's a huge step for the mission. So many things are changing! Well, mostly just that.
The rest of the week was normal, we were able to meet with some of our investigators and less actives. Liu siuje and Mandy even came to our Easter Primary activity and loved it.
So things are going pretty well. One problem is that Fei Fei isn't close to finishing the lessons, but her baptismal date is coming up fast. We may have to move it back. We'll keep praying for her to keep the date, but we'll see what God has in mind.
Also, the prophet comes to Hong Kong this Saturday!!! I'm so extremely excited. We hope to have some people come with us, like LAs or investigators. It's going to be so cool. We also get to go to the temple on Wednesday.
My cool experience of the week, well one of them, was having dinner with a member who is worried about her daughter and her boyfriend. It was so humbling to watch this mother be so humble and faithful even in hard times. She struggles with loneliness and is concerned for her family and it was a really humbling experience for me. Heavenly Father is so aware of all of His children and their heartaches and struggles. I know things will work out for her because I felt such peace when we prayed for her.
So many miracles around us. I love you all so much! Watch for the miracles every day. They are there. He never stops caring. never. He's always there for us.
Talk to you all next week!
Love, Sister Peck
